In 1980 the Bay Area's Intercollective published the first Bay Area Directory of Collectives (pdf) (also on flickr), with short essays on Taxi Unlimited, Heartwood, Cheese Board, Broom and Board, Uprising Baking Collective, as well as a "critique and rebuttal of itself." The directory included a map of San Francisco and the East Bay, which appears to have updated a pamphlet map and directory previous published.
